Intended service scope
DataLicenser provides local and CDN-based crawler enforcement, signed policy distribution, operational telemetry, and—when separately agreed—technical and commercial support for direct publisher-to-AI-lab licenses. Protection subscriptions and licensing agreements are separate.
Authorized use
Customers must control or be authorized to administer connected domains and infrastructure. The Exposure Scanner may be used only for domains the user owns or administers. Attempts to use the service as a proxy, scraper, disruption tool, or means to access private networks are prohibited.
Publisher control and responsibilities
Publishers remain responsible for their content, authority to license it, approved buyers, commercial terms, infrastructure configuration, and legal compliance. No AI lab receives licensed access until the publisher has approved the applicable agreement and scope.
Direct licensing economics
The intended model lets the publisher retain 100% of the content-access rate it agrees with an AI lab. DataLicenser charges the lab a separate platform and access-orchestration fee under the lab-side agreement. Final invoicing, tax, audit, and payment mechanics require legal and accounting review.
Exclusive and non-exclusive terms
A publisher may approve an exclusive license, multiple non-exclusive licenses, or no license. Any exclusivity must be explicit and limited by the approved content, use, territory, buyer, and term. DataLicenser enforces the resulting access state but does not infer rights not stated in the agreement.
Availability and sales-assisted features
Direct licensing depends on reaching an active agreement with an AI lab. Participation does not guarantee a buyer, revenue, transaction volume, exclusivity, or completion date. Preview dashboard data is not a financial record.
Sections still requiring counsel
Final terms must address payment, taxes, warranties, service levels, confidentiality, intellectual property, indemnity, liability limits, termination, governing law, dispute resolution, data processing, and changes to terms.
